Adoptive Families: Joe & Chere

Dear Birthparents,

We admire you for your decisions to give your child life and place him or her for adoption. We know that selecting a family will be a difficult decision for you to make. Our prayer for you is that God will give you peace and wisdom to guide you as you choose a family to raise your precious child.

Our names are Chere and Joe. We have been happily married for 12 years. From the beginning of our marriage, we have always desired to have children. After finding out that we would not be able to conceive, we chose adoption to fulfill our dreams of being parents. We have a beautiful five-year-old daughter, Kathleen, who we adopted through Presbyterian Children's Homes & Services. She was two days old when our lives were forever changed in the most amazing way. We love and adore her and are excited about expanding our family again through adoption.

We live in a very family-oriented community with exemplary rated schools. We believe it is very important to be involved in our children’s lives and in our community. Chere is looking forward to volunteering and being a room mother when Kathleen starts school. Joe currently coaches Kathleen’s soccer team and is looking forward to participating in her other athletic activities as she grows up.

Chere is the youngest of three children. She and her brothers were raised in Houston. She has recently become a stay-at-home mom after working as a sales and marketing rep for many years. Chere enjoys entertaining, baking, dancing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She is especially enjoying being able to spend more time with Kathleen at home and has time to take Kathleen to dance and gymnastics classes. She is also volunteering at church on Sundays with the three- to five-year-old children and thoroughly enjoys teaching them about God.

Joe is the youngest of four boys and was raised in Houston. He grew up in a loving family that placed faith, family, and education as their priorities. After obtaining his degrees from Texas A&M University he went to work in the aerospace industry for NASA. He enjoys the outdoors, golf, traveling, spending time with family and friends and going to the family beach house. His most favorite pastime these days is being with the apple of his eye, Kathleen. They enjoy playing outdoors, going for bike rides, and creating chalk masterpieces on the sidewalk.

Kathleen is an outgoing and an energetic five year old. She is enjoying kindergarten and is quite entertaining. She loves to dance, play outside, play soccer, and make her parents laugh. She recently celebrated her birthday at Disney World. While at Disney World, she was able to have breakfast with her favorite princess, Cinderella. We know she is excited about having a brother or sister to play and grow up with because she often says, “I’m going to be a big sister.”

Our family loves to travel and we hope our children will love it too. Some of the places we have visited are Paris, France, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Hawaii as well as many other places in Texas and other parts of the USA.

We are a loving family and believe that faith, family and education are the most important things you can give a child. Should you choose us to raise your baby, we would be honored and blessed to be given that responsibility.
